From June 12 to 14, 2026, I had the pleasure of participating in the Nuits des Forêts event on the Île d’Oléron, at the invitation of the association Les Bouches Rouges, the organizer of this year’s edition. To accompany the artistic stroll offered to the public in the Grand Village forest, I installed an atrium of Œillarbres at the end of the trail with the invaluable help of Philippe Gaudet.
The guided walk led spectators through the undergrowth, where actors and musicians appeared around every bend. In a clearing, the Cœur de Meufs choir and a cellist offered a moment of suspended time, blending voices and vibrations with the sounds of the forest, before the audience concluded their journey beneath the atrium.
This immersive experience was fully in keeping with the spirit of the Nuit des Forêts, which highlights the sensitive relationship between humans and forest environments.
🌿 An atrium of Œillarbres to conclude the journey
More than sixty Œillarbres were on display, accompanied by two large-format prints of tree perspectives. The evening of June 12, from late afternoon until nightfall, brought together more than 150 people who came to discover this dialogue between the forest, the performing arts, and the visual arts.
This atrium served as a poetic threshold, inviting everyone to take a fresh look at the trees and the forest of Oléron.
Participating in the 2026 Night of the Forests was an opportunity to share my work in a living, sensitive setting deeply connected to the land.
